  • Saskatchewan and Manitoba publications shine spotlight on WellTraxx
    June 9, 2014

WellTraxx was recently recognized by two major oil and gas publications for the work it is doing with Saskatchewan and Manitoba landowners and rural municipalities. Both the Manitoba Oil and Gas Review and the Saskatchewan Oil Report recently featured the company in their 2014 editions. WellTraxx has been actively expanding their business to meet the demand for their services in both provinces, including the opening of their new Eastend, Saskatchewan location earlier this year. WellTraxx co-founder Casey Ziegler says it was gratifying to be approached by both publications.

"As a company that is committed to serving the needs of landowners and rural municipalities in both provinces it was really nice to be recognized," says Ziegler. "They said they were looking for companies doing new and interesting things within the industry and I guess we fit the bill."

  • WellTraxx Set To Launch RM Software Solution
    February 1, 2014

WellTraxx technology will soon be available to Saskatchewan rural administrators managing oil and gas development.

WellTraxx Ltd. will be launching their new software solution during the 2014 SARM Convention in Regina March 10-12. The new tool is designed to help rural administrators with the day to day challenges that come with managing significant oil and gas development within their municipal boundaries. WellTraxx has been working with landowners across western Canada since 2009 to assist them with their oil and gas holdings, and are pleased to now extend their services to rural municipalities.

"Landowners and rural municipalities have a lot of the same challenges when it comes to managing oil and gas holdings," explains WellTraxx co-founder Casey Ziegler. "When development intensifies, so does the amount of paperwork and time sensitive information you are dealing with."

"A lot of our learnings from working with landowners were applied to the solutions we’ve developed for RM's"

The new RM software was designed throughout 2013 during a pilot project with the RM’s of Monet, White Valley and Gull Lake. By taking direct input from experienced rural administrators, Ziegler says they were able to develop the program to meet real, every day challenges.

"We don't develop solutions based on theory, it's about understanding what the real challenges are and moving forward from there,' Ziegler explains.

"It was a big project, but very rewarding to work with some talented rural administrators to create something that will benefit municipalities across the province."

WellTraxx featured by Western Canadian Pipeline
    February 1, 2013

While WellTraxx was designed for landowners managing oil and gas development, the energy industry is also taking note of the benefits it can create for them as well.

One of western Canada's premiere energy magazines, The Western Canadian Pipeline, featured WellTraxx in its February edition as a company that was striving to create “positive energy” for landowners and oil and gas companies alike.

"We've said from the beginning that WellTraxx could only succeed with the support and cooperation of the energy industry," says WellTraxx co-founder Casey Ziegler. "When an industry stalwart like the Western Canadian Pipeline takes the time to learn more about our company, it lets us know we're on the right track."

Now entering its fourth year of business, WellTraxx has not only provided landowners with a unique service to help them manage their oil and gas assets, but has also set a new precedent as a third party company actively working to promote positive relations with the energy industry.

"It's always been our goal to prove that you can create value for landowners through precision management, without having to be confrontational," explains WellTraxx co-founder Kris Bower. "In the last year we've been given a lot of referrals from the energy industry, from companies who prefer their leaseholders do business with us because of the transparency and efficiency we create. When that happens, it's about as big a compliment as you can pay us."
